Susan Irene Wranik is a linguist and board-certified speech-language pathologist.  A graduate of Georgetown University and The George Washington University, she works with the geriatric population treating speech, communication, cognitive/dementia, and swallowing disorders. She is Director of Rehabilitation at a continuous care retirement facility in Washington, DC skilled nursing facility in the District of Columbia and serves as speech-language consultant for two corporations based on green house models for mentally retarded adults.

Susan Wranik’s DVD on swallowing is the outgrowth of questions posed by patients, family members, and caregivers during the popular rehab dining program she pioneered at a skilled nursing facility in the District of Columbia. A patient advocate, Susan is dedicated  to improving the quality of life one person at a time.  She is a much sought after speaker, educator, and contributor to publications including the Guide to Retirement Living SourceBook and The Beacon.  Susan has shared her expertise with numerous support groups, including Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke recovery and dementia.  She has appeared on cable TV and is a frequent guest on radio programs including Women’s Radio, Dr. Beth, and Today’s Health.

 A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Susan resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
